Building Steel Arenas Like the Pros

When you enter many newer large professional arenas and look up around you it's most likely that you will see massive steel beams. The advantageous strength, cost and design options are a few of the reasons why nationally recognized teams are opting to build their arenas and practice facilities out of steel. Steel recreational facilities are not just for the professionals though. Your school, local rec. center, or park can and should receive the same quality that the pros do, and all for a price that less than building with other materials.

Whether its basketball, volleyball, tennis, hockey, ice-skating, indoor soccer or lacrosse, teams and individuals require a facility to learn, practice, and compete. Recreational activities are an important outlet for people at any age. It is particularly important for those at the competitive level to have a place that is comfortable and that facilitates all of their needs. Arena's may need to not only provide courts or fields but also locker rooms, meeting rooms, weight rooms, etc.

Steel buildings have the strength to create 200ft wide arenas without any additional crossbeams to provide you with the most useable space. High ceilings are a requirement for many sports. No crossbeams also means more losing balls when they get caught in the crossbeams; or worse being in the middle of a game and having the ball hit a crossbeam, potentially change the outcome of a game.

Large venues are ideal for attracting larger crowds. Your investment in a larger more comfortable arena can immediately return an increased revenue stream from ticket, concession, and memorabilia. A steel arena it inexpensive relative to arena's made of other materials and they be can constructed quick so you can begin utilizing your new, improved, top of the line arena sooner.
